Prize Value: Various prizes between $1,000 and $50,000

Who is this prize for? Applicants must be living in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico. The prize is open to high school seniors. Those who have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent. Plan to enroll as a full-time student, without interruption, for the entire academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.

From the Scholarship Donor’s Website: The BURGER KING℠ Scholars program assists employees, employees’ spouses or domestic partners, employees’ children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education. To date, the program has awarded more than $53 million in scholarships to more than 46,000 students. Last year alone, $4.3 million in scholarships were awarded to nearly 4,000 deserving students.

Who is this prize for? Must be currently enrolled in and attending an accredited cosmetology program in the US resulting in a cosmetology license or a licensed professional currently working as a cosmetology professional. The scholarships will be awarded to applicants from the following communities: Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.

Who is this prize for? Scholarship for women in engineering, currently enrolled in an accredited program by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)

From the Scholarship Donor’s Website: The Lynn G. Bellenger Scholarship is available to female undergraduate students who are enrolled in an ABET-accredited program leading to a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree. Your course of study must be related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30 percent.

GeneTex Scholarship Program

Scholarship Provider: GeneTex

Due Date: December 2, 2022

Prize Value: $2,000

Who is this prize for? Scholarship is open to students pursuing a STEM degree. College students enrolled at the undergraduate or graduate levels are eligible to apply.

From the Scholarship Donor’s Website: GeneTex believes in accelerating scientific advancement and the notion that the genesis of future discoveries begins with the support of young scientists now. The GeneTex Scholarship Program will award a $2000 (USD) scholarship to students pursuing a STEM undergraduate or graduate degree. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the university at which the recipient is enrolled. The university will then distribute the funds to the recipient.

Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program

Scholarship Provider: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

Prize Value: Varies following needs assessment

Who is this prize for? Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in graduate school in oceanography, marine biology, or maritime archaeology. Extra points are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. Women and minority groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
