10 Scholarships with August 2023 Deadlines … and More!

Yes, it may be summer, but the start of the academic year is close.

Along with all of the excitement that comes with the start of classes comes the stress of paying for school. Tuition, books, fees – it seems like the bills never end.

Indeed, the cost of college isn’t cheap. However, there are ways to help you pay for education costs. After all, your mind should be focused on your future and learning skills to make it brighter. Scholarships can help with that.

Finding the right scholarships that meet your profile is the first part of the equation. To help you with this, we offer a list of ten August scholarships below. The scholarship opportunities were pulled from the free BridgesEDU Scholarship Finder. There are many more August 2023 scholarships there, but you can also find prizes with deadlines in June, July, and every other month. That’s because we have a huge database of scholarship opportunities to choose from.

Also, if you’re looking for scholarships, you may also want to know something that’s even more important: how to win them! Of course, finding scholarships is not the same as winning scholarships.

Applying for Scholarships vs. Winning Scholarships

Submitting scholarship applications that win requires planning. And, planning is more than just staying organized with a spreadsheet and having an awareness of deadlines. If you want to win a scholarship, you must know what scholarship committees look for. Then, you have to know how to deliver your message in a convincing way; often in 500 words or less.

In short, finding scholarships in only part of the journey. Knowing the secrets to winning scholarships is another. This second part is a strategy that can turn your scholarship application from a slim chance to as strong possibility. This means a better chance at winning money for college.

So, since you’re looking for scholarships to apply for, let’s get to a list of prizes with deadlines in August. Whether you’re a high school senior or an undergraduate student, these college scholarship contests could be right for you!
